How much will my project cost?

Each project is unique and the cost will depend on the project specifics. We have a full day minimum for any projects which is about $1250 in labor and does not include design and materials costs. Small projects usually start at about $2000 once design and materials are factored in. Including design an average back yard re-design will usually run between $6000-$15,000 depending on the size and current condition of the yard, density of planting and how many garden features such as a patio, rain garden or carpentry projects are a part of your project. A full front and back yard re-design will usually run between $12,000-$25,000. We are very good at working with our clients specific budgets by discussing how we can simplify a plan or implement it in stages. In the end our clients get a design that gives them as many of their top priorities as possible at a price they can afford.

Who will work on my property?

We are a husband and wife team with one small crew that is well trained, supervised using the proper equipment. All employees wear a company uniform. Austin will be the foreman on your project, and Emily will often stop by the site throughout the project duration helping as a crew member and  directing plant placement.

Are you a licensed landscaper?

Yes, we are licensed. We hold all the required and necessary licenses for landscaping including for hardscaping and carpentry work. We are not licensed at this time for irrigation. OLCB #9360

Are you insured?

Yes, we are fully insured and bonded. We carry liability, workman’s comp and commercial auto insurance.

What do you mean by eco friendly/sustainable?

We strive to have the lowest impact on the land as we can. We don’t use any pesticides or chemical fertilizers. We utilize a variety of techniques such as hand weeding to create beautiful outdoor spaces. We use electric equipment whenever possible and run our work truck and mini-skidsteer on bio-diesel. For our landscape construction projects we specialize in implementing sustainable landscape features and use recycled or sustainably produced products whenever possible.

Do you offer a free quote/site visit?

As a small company with more requests for work than we can take on we have found we are unable to offer a free site visit. We offer our consultation which normally takes about an hour and starts at $100. Feel free to send us some photos of your yard and some information about what you would like to have done and we can try to get you a rough idea of the project cost before you commit to the site visit fee.

We are often booked out weeks/months in advance so be sure to get in touch early for your projects.

Do you accept credit cards?

We prefer check payment due to credit card processing fees. However, we can accept cards with a 3% processing fee to cover our cost.

"We are very happy with the design and the effort that Austin & Emily and their crew at The Green Seed provided in reshaping our backyard. It is a much more lively and livable space. Austin & Emily were open to our ideas, which they developed creatively, taking our budget into account. The crew was always friendly, and the work was efficient and quality. Thank you to The Green Seed! Highly recommended."

"Austin, Emily, and their team are a pleasure to work with. They redesigned our entire backyard and even replaced some trees that did not make it through the summer. They did a wonderful job on a front yard clean-up for us as well."

"They did such a great job re-landscaping my front yard & building & installing my raised beds in the backyard. Great family-run business."

The crew came over to do the cleanup yesterday. Just wanted to say WOW! It looks way better than I imagined it could, and this is just the first step! Looking forward to seeing designs for the remaining work. Getting really excited about it now that I've had a glimpse of what you guys do!
